Wellington School

Oppidan were delighted to begin our partnership with Wellington School for a one-off mentoring ‘taster’.

The programme involved group training for student leaders within the community.

During the group work, students were asked to think directly about their role as mentors receiving training in communication and leadership for their personal development and the wider school community's betterment.

We are looking forward to returning to Wellington soon to develop the work on a wider scale with the full cohort.

Our Wellington School Student Leaders and House Mentors enjoyed a fast-paced group workshop from Adam Goodbody, Founders Associate at Oppidan Education. Oppidan mentors students to achieve their personal and academic goals, across the U.K and internationally.

Students engaged in brilliant discussions about the possible impact of mentoring and gained perspectives on different ways to approach challenging conversations.

At Wellington, having the skills to help each other and collaborate is an essential part of our community minded approach to pupil wellbeing.

This session gave them a head start that will help them to build outstanding relationships within our new House based, vertical mentoring programme.

Thank you, Adam. The feedback from the pupils has been incredibly positive!
