Oppidan launches in South Korea

Eight months after our first trip, we’re officially open for business in Seoul.

Following the successful pilot mentoring project with British Education Korea in September 2023, Oppidan's office in Seoul opens December 1st 2023 with the wider launch of its programme to families and to the school for students across prep and secondary.

Oppidan has appointed Felix Lahiff as its General Manager, responsible for the development of the business on the ground in the capital. Felix comes from a background working in schools and academies in Seoul; educated at Radley College and then Edinburgh University, Felix speaks Advanced Korean and will lead the conversation on 1:1 mentoring with parents.

Oppidan co-founder Walter Kerr says:

“Oppidan is officially landing in Seoul, having begun our partnership with BEK this autumn. There is real excitement within the team at the prospect of developing our mentoring mission in Seoul with the school and new families. It’s a big new step for us but one we’re very excited for. Thank you to everyone at BEK for their support so far and I will be returning in February, eager to witness our progress firsthand”.
