Oppidan & ICS Ghana
In February 2024, Oppidan launched a first of its kind peer mentor training programme with ICS Ghana with students from both the Accra and Kumasi campuses.
Peer mentoring training involves mentoring older students to mentor their younger peers, developing the whole school community and pupil leadership skills. With surveying before and after the programme, Oppidan are principally tasked to measure pupil confidence, communication and sense of belonging.
A huge thanks to the team at the school led by Charles Yeboah, PhD, who took this project from initiation to delivery in just two months.
Working with ICS has been a huge pleasure for Oppidan and their shared ambition and vision to understand the value of mentoring in school, bodes very well for greater work in West Africa and beyond.
